INTERNATIONALLY-HOSTED RETREATS

Luma Via also offers a small number of international retreats and immersions in culturally and environmentally distinct locations around the world.
These experiences are designed to bring contemplative practice, embodied learning, grief accompaniment, and relational reflection into dialogue with place, landscape, and cultural atmosphere. Whether held in the forests of Southeast Asia, coastal regions of Latin America, or other carefully selected environments, each retreat is shaped by the qualities of the land itself — its pace, textures, rhythms, and relationship to stillness.
International retreats invite participants to step outside familiar routines and enter spaces that support perspective, spaciousness, nervous system regulation, meaningful conversation, and deeper engagement with the realities of being human.
Rather than offering escape or spectacle, these retreats are intentionally designed around presence, embodiment, reflection, and thoughtful immersion.
Our Costa Rica retreats are hosted in the lush coastal regions of Uvita, Quepos, and Bahía Ballena — places where the rhythm of the ocean, the density of the jungle, and the warmth of the climate create conditions that support rest, nervous system regulation, reflection, and embodied presence.
Each setting is intentionally chosen to support the contemplative, relational, and experiential nature of the work itself: slowing down, reconnecting with the body, and creating spaciousness for emotional processing and meaningful reflection. Whether offered in a small-group or private immersive format, these retreats are designed to meet participants where they are, without pressure, performance, or urgency.
Costa Rica Group Retreats
The group retreat experience offers a gently structured rhythm that balances guided sessions with spacious time for rest, reflection, and integration. Mornings and afternoons include somatic practices, contemplative reflection, and shared dialogue, while the surrounding environment — ocean, jungle, poolside, and open-air spaces — supports ongoing grounding, regulation, and nervous system restoration.
There is no pressure to share beyond your comfort level. The group setting allows for quiet connection, compassionate witnessing, and the recognition that grief, transition, and emotional struggle do not have to be carried alone.
