LUMA VIA
Home of Living Grief Theory
Naomi Sanderovsky, PhD, is a grief educator, philosopher, and the creator of Living Grief Theory, a non-pathologizing framework for understanding grief as an ongoing, embodied part of human life rather than a process to overcome or complete.
Through retreats, masterclasses, certification programs, and contemplative grief education, Luma Via offers spaces for emotional depth, embodied awareness, relational healing, and grief literacy rooted in both scholarship and lived experience.
A DIFFERENT WAY OF UNDERSTANDING GRIEF
Most grief frameworks ask whether you are moving on, finding closure, or returning to normal. Living Grief Theory begins from a different assumption: grief is not something to overcome, but something to live with and move with in changing ways across a lifetime.
At Luma Via, grief is approached as embodied, relational, and deeply human. Rather than treating emotional pain as pathology or something to fix, our work supports grief literacy, somatic awareness, contemplative inquiry, and relational connection as part of living fully with loss.
